Remember to measure from the depth of the water rather than the height of the wall. To determine the average depth in a pool where the bottom slopes, measure the shallow end depth and the deep end depth, then add them together and divide by two.
Please note that the pool calculator assumes that the depth of the pool changes evenly and gradually from one end to the other, which is usually the case. If this doesn’t apply to your pool size, figures computed by our pool calculator can still be in the same ballpark.
